SEGWAY battery diagnosis calibration, performance diagram incl. Test protocol / resuscitation

The range of the Segway PT depends on the charging capacity of the batteries. The Segway PT always has two batteries installed. These should have the same charging capacity as far as possible, as the performance always depends on the weaker battery. For this reason, it is particularly useful and important for tour operators with several devices to know the performance of the batteries and to form pairs of equal capacity. Battery performance is of particular importance for economical operation and is therefore essential for every Segway PT Tour operator.

Deep-discharged batteries can usually be reanimated by us. This saves a very expensive battery replacement. Reviving or reanimating a battery means bringing the cells, which have fallen below the power value of 60 volts overall and are therefore no longer recognized by the Segway PT, back above this value. This is achieved by targeted charging impulses.

This allows the Segway PT to recognize the battery. After another complete charging cycle, the battery can be used as usual. It is advisable to carry out a control cycle on the battery test system after resuscitation. This is to ensure that the resuscitation has been successful and that all cells have been reached. This also determines the performance of the battery after resuscitation.
